I'll admit it - I'm a YouTube addict and there's not a day goes by that I don't use it or check out the top ten most viewed videos.

Normally, I'll use Firefox to have a look and YouView has done nothing to change my mind on that, although if for some reason Firefox didn't work and I didn't want to open a different web browser for various reasons, then YouView would be a very viable option. YouView simply allows you to view the most popular rated YouTube videos without opening your browser.

As soon as the program opens, you have a simple interface - categories such as "Most Viewed", "Most Linked" and "Most Discussed" down the left side and the videos in the main window. It gives you the top ten results for each category and to open a video, just click on it and it will open in an external video box. The great thing is that HD videos open in stunning HD quality by default. The advantage of YouView is also that it's faster than using YouTube in a browser, uses less processing power and it supports full screen viewing. The downside is that you can't see the comments and you can't download videos.

YouView is excellent for those that don't want to use their browser for viewing YouTube and only want to look at the most popular daily.
